The title is not what you think. Pots stand for potentiometers.
I learnt a bit about them today. These little things are the knobs you turn to control the volume on an amp. I’m planning to add two pots in my pedal: a A100K one, for the volume control, and a C10K one, for gain control!
It’s also quite troublesome to tell the three lugs apart. I wanted to colour-code them — grey leads to ground, and orange leads to another part of the circuit.
I mixed them up, effectively wasting five minutes re-soldering the wires.
Anyway, look at the end result. The C10K pot is featured, because the A100K pot stopped working right as I was about to leave. How frustrating.
