Finally got the perfboard working! I also decided to switch the potentiometers — A100K for gain, and B10K for volume.
Correction for above vid: A means logarithmic, B means linear
After this, I replaced the gain pot for a 4.7K resistor — note the reduced static noises.
On an end note, I fried an LED, and busted two potentiometers. Add this to the carnage of components I have brutally massacred throughout my rampage into electrical engineering.
