Meet my new bass guitar, Vanilla Jackson! Nilly for short.
I’m going to start playing bass. My dad says we might start a family band-my brother on lead guitar, my mom on piano, me on bass and maybe my grandpa on drums.

Made some low-carb beef stew last week – beef gravy, carrots, and turnips!

Just some people fighting over 1 ringgit.
Last weekend, my siblings and I baked some blueberry muffins.
I simply love muffins. They are, like, my comfort food.

The next morning, after having instant noodles for breakfast, we went to a place called the Paddock. There were horse-riding and archery activities there!
My, brother, sister and I all went horse-riding. Here is my sister riding one-

Then, we went to the archery section. Unfortunately, only those aged 13 and above could do it, so I felt bad for my brother, who was really excited to do archery.

I didn’t hit a single target.
Then, we went for another round of tea and scones! It was the second time this trip. But I wasn’t complaining.
This time was at a place called Aida Daniya. The prices were cheaper than the smokehouse’s prices, but the food was the sae, and they served actual cream this time. (The smokehouse only served butter.)
Pretty underrated!

That was the end of our Fraser’s Hill trip! I really enjoyed it.

Yesterday, my dad taught me how to cook Chili Con Carne! We got the idea from a Mexican restaurant.
We used minced beef, tomatoes, some pepper, and the chili seasoning to make it, and topped it all with cheddar cheese. It was delicious!
I think cooking is really rewarding! It just feels better to eat food you’ve cooked yourself.
About two weeks ago, my family and I went to Fraser’s Hill, which is like the little England of Malaysia. It lives up to its name because there’s a lot of “English” stuff there.
The road up to the hill was bumpy and shaped like a snake, so I got motion sickness. I got better, thankfully! The place we stayed in was minimalistic and nice, but I don’t have a photo of it.
After that, we went for tea and scones. It’s like a light meal for the British. A scone is a small cake, usually eaten with cream and strawberry jam, and it’s really popular in the UK. The people of the UK simply love it.

They are so serious about it, they even have a guide on how to eat scones. First, cut the scone in half with a knife. Then, you either follow the Devonshire method, where you put the cream first then the jam. If you live by the Cornish method, you’ll go jam first, then the cream. (Small fact: The Queen preferred the latter.)
See? I did my homework.
Okay, anyway, we ate at a place called Ye Olde Smokehouse. Their interior is pretty nice. It looks like a royalty home.

The scones and cakes were amazing! I loved the tea as well. They were pretty expensive, but I guess they were worth it.
Then, we walked in the streets for a bit. The weather was really cold and there were lots of mist. It didn’t feel like a usual, scorching hot day in KL.

We spent the rest of the night at the apartment, and had steamboat for dinner.
