Fraser’s Hill Trip Day 2: Horse-Riding and Archery

The next morning, after having instant noodles for breakfast, we went to a place called the Paddock. There were horse-riding and archery activities there!

My, brother, sister and I all went horse-riding. Here is my sister riding one-

Then, we went to the archery section. Unfortunately, only those aged 13 and above could do it, so I felt bad for my brother, who was really excited to do archery.

I didn’t hit a single target.

Then, we went for another round of tea and scones! It was the second time this trip. But I wasn’t complaining.

This time was at a place called Aida Daniya. The prices were cheaper than the smokehouse’s prices, but the food was the sae, and they served actual cream this time. (The smokehouse only served butter.)

Pretty underrated!

That was the end of our Fraser’s Hill trip! I really enjoyed it.

Penang Trip Day 5: We Say Goodbye

We left Penang that day. πŸ™ I was pretty sad.

For breakfast, I think we had some bread my mom bought for us.

Then for lunch, we tried having dim-sum again. This time, we went to a place with no queue. The custard bun was great! You should try custard buns. They are really tasty. Just make sure there’s no kaya jam in it because it ruins the custard.

After that we relaxed in my cousin’s house one last time. At 3 in the afternoon, we said our goodbyes and left.

I like Penang. Maybe we can go there again in the future holidays.

Penang Trip Day 4: We Try Not to Get Diabetes

It was our second last day in Penang. Time went by so fast!

We went to swim and visit the games room again. After that, we had our favourite bubble tea, Tealive! We finally got it after my mom promised us a few days ago. It was very sweet. I won’t have it again anytime soon.

It was my grandma’s birthday that day! After dinner, we celebrated her birthday together. She’s 78 this year. That’s old. We also ate fruit cake. (More sugar!)

Penang Trip Day 3: We Hit the City!

We still have two more days left before we depart from Penang. It went by so fast! I felt like I had just arrived in Penang 10 minutes ago.

Instead of staying at home, we went outside in the streets. For breakfast, we ate at a place called Breakfast By The Barn. We ate a delicious breakfast alfresco. (Outdoors)

After that, we visited a temple. We saw a fortune-telling wheel and decides to see our fortunes. I didn’t want to see mine because I prefer to figure my future out myself.

My mom, sister, and brother all gave a try. They all got pretty good fortunes! My brother got a funny one. “Your wife will give birth to a boy.”

β€œAny sickness in your family will recover. Your luck for other things is good.” That’s great! My brother was sick last week. He took two Covid tests, one positive, one negative. He got better in a day though. Maybe he got Covid for one day.

Then we ate dinner at a seafood restaurant called Paper Lobster. In these restaurants, they pour your food on the table, and you eat them without using utensils. They put a piece of plastic on the table so it won’t get messy afterwards. They also give you non-toxic gloves to wear when you eat. The food usually comes with gravy. It was pretty good!

Penang Trip Day 2: We Dive Headfirst into the Pool

Many more things happened this day! I have more to write about.

After lunch, we went to my cousin’s family’s apartment. We swam in the large swimming pool, under the hot sun. It felt great! I practiced some of my strokes and played with my siblings and my cousin.

There was even a jacuzzi nearby! We went to try it. Obviously it was smaller than the swimming pool.

We still had time after swimming, so we went to visit the games room! Near the back entrance, there are two billiard tables next to each other. The billiard balls and cue sticks are placed against a wall nearby.

Then, there are two air hockey tables. You can turn them on by pressing on a switch below either tables. The billiard stations and air hockey stations are separated by a short wall.

Northwest to the front entrance is the ping pong table. There are two very large words ‘PING’ and ‘PONG’ on the wall next to it.

“Hey, I wonder what this table is for.”

“It’s a ping pong table. See, it says it on that wall.”

“Oh. Didn’t see that.”

(Sorry.)

ANYWAY, at the back right, there’s a foosball table, and a dart target. You can’t see it from the front. At the left, there’s cabinets that house the air hockey sticks and the discs, ping pong bats and the ping pong ball, the miniature football, and some darts.

There are also couches and tables for people who want to relax.

We played all the games there. It was very fun! We had to go home about half an hour later for dinner.

Penang Trip Day 1: We Crash at Penang

My family and I went to Penang!

We woke up very early in the morning and left. It took about 5 hours from home, so my siblings and I just slept in the car.

We wanted to eat dim sum (dumplings), but the place was very crowded, some were even standing in the middle of the road! Was the food that good? (Not really. The ‘custard’ bun had kaya jam in it. )

Anyway, we reached at around noon, and rested at my cousin’s house. His house has 3 floors, but no backyard. The 1st floor is usually where everything is, and the 2nd floor is where our bedrooms are. I’m not too sure what’s on the 3rd floor because we aren’t allowed to go up there. That’s probably where his parents’ room is.
