Kuih Bahulu!

It’s my first attempt baking something Malaysian. Worth it.

You know what else is worth it? Eating cheesecake at night. While journaling (or doing anything else). It’s worth the calories, at least.

The Spoon™ makes a cameo once again.


brownie dah pecah :(

My batch of brownies broke apart when they came out of the oven today. Kind of like me in a new environment.

I must’ve underbaked them, somehow, or cut them too soon. Either way, it means that I need to work on my patience! Or it’s a different reason altogether, like overmixing the batter?

They tasted real sweet. 400g of sugar used, holy crap. That’s not even counting the cup of choccy chips included. I get that it’s for texture, but is it even made for human consumption?

I’m not even disheartened. Just curious on how I’d messed it up. I’ll try this again someday.
